ILYA Race Management

ILYA race management is guided by the Race Management Committee and Judges Committee. The committees provide training for new and veteran volunteers, published articles about race management procedures and judging procedures, provide race management and judging personnel for all ILYA sanctioned events, and confers Recognized Race Officer and Judge status on qualified officials.

The following documents are made available for regatta organizers to use as a guide when organizing local events. Using the ILYA Class Standard NOR/SIs has many benefits. Note: There may be changes required for RRS 2021-24.

  • Your races always run similarly to ILYA regattas
  • You only need to assemble the information specific to your regatta
  • Your regatta documents are always current with the Racing Rules of Sailng
  • Your regatta will incorporate the latest in race management
  • The document you post is generally less than 2 pages total for NOR and SIs
  • You are free to use the supplied template to write your own supplement.
