Rick Trester has been designated as a US Sailing Regional Race Officer. Cedar Lake YC now boasts two Club Officers, two regional officers and one National Race Officer.
What a feat for a small inland lake in Wisconsin! Rick earned this designation last week along with Milwaukee/Pewaukee’s Steve Dolan.
The designation is the culmination of testing, experience - in terms of numbers of regattas but, most importantly, the experience with a variety of classes (scows counting only as one). 
Rick is able to perform RC work all year long due to his wintering in FL. He is a favorite of the Flying Scot class who uses him in FL, but also up north this year as he will be traveling to Sturgeon Bay for a large July event.
Rick will serve on the Queen’s Cup team this year from South Shore YC and he also assists with Milwaukee YC courses at times.
